If reports are anything to go by, MacBook Pro 2016 will be released on March 21.

The tech giant Apple has begun sending media invites for its event on March 21, 2016. According to a Macworld report, there are chances that the tech company will launch MacBook Pro 2016 on March 21 since Apple usually releases new laptops at the same time of the year.

The March 21 event will focus on the iPhone SE and iPad Air 3. Several reports suggest that it is possible that a separate Mac event will be organized by the software company. However, tech experts believe that Apple will announce the new MacBook Pro at the March 21 event.

According to other reports, the release of the 2016 MacBook Pro is imminent as Cupertino-based company has updated its vintage and obsolete products page with three iterations.

The company will now discontinue support for the 2009 Xserve, 17-inch MacBook Pro launched in mid-2010 and 15-inch MacBook Pro launched in 2010, MacRumors reported.

Now the company will no longer give support and parts replacement for these products. However, owners of these devices may check service centers for replacement parts. A few service providers may order parts if they are available in other stores.

Meanwhile, rumor has it that the new MacBook Pro 2016 models will feature Intel’s Skylake processors. Skylake processors will bring notable performance gains to the 2016 MacBook Pro and make it a faster device.

Skylake, along with the El Capitan operating system, will enhance battery life and efficiency. Speculations are also doing the rounds that the new MacBook Pro will sport a touchscreen. Reports also suggest that the touchscreen may be detachable just like in the Surface Book.

Meanwhile, according to reports, the MacBook Air will see a significant update this year. However, the update may not arrive till WWDC in June.

The MacBook Air 2016 will have an improved battery life and a reduced weight. Also, the upcoming device is likely to feature Skylake processors.

The 2016 MacBook Air is expected to come in three variants – a 15-inch version, a 13-inch model and 12-inch type.
