Apple shocked its huge fanbase by not making any sort of announcement regarding its upcoming hardware, specifically the much-anticipated MacBook Pro 2016 during WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference). However, this hasn’t disappointed the optimistic fans who still anticipate the laptop to meet their expectations.
Reports from several tech publications have affirmed that the upcoming laptop will be a lot more than a mere MacBook, in fact speculations hint that the MacBook Pro 2016 will not only be the best, but also the most affordable laptop from Apple allowing customers to own a MacBook without burning a hole in their pockets.
MacBook Pro 2016: Features
If rumors doing rounds are anything to go by, the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 will boast an OLED display touch bar on its keyboard. In terms of functionality, the OLED display on the device’s keypad can help in multiple ways: For instance, it can help keep an eye on the ongoing torrent downloads. Alternatively, it can also make managing Spotify playback a lot easier, MartinHajek reported.
If rumors proved to be true, MacBook Pro 2016 will come with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, along with a “Dark Mode” and “Do Not Disturb” button.
MacBook Pro 2016: Variants
The comparatively lighter and slimmer laptop will not debut in one single event.
Several reports doing rounds online have indicated that the Cupertino-based tech giant will not unveil all variants of the Macbook Pro 2016 in one single event. Apparently, Apple intends to debut the devices in two separate time windows.
Apple is prepping to debut the super slim, feather light version of a 13-inch MacBook laptop sometime between June and September, MacRumors reported.
Both 13-inch and 15-inch variants of the MacBook Pro 2016, on the other hand will reportedly debut either in September or December. Basically, the MacBook Pro will be released by the fourth quarter of 2016.
That said, Apple has not yet confirmed these rumors so it’s recommended to take them with a grain of salt.
MacBook Pro 2016: Price
The rumor mills have been swirling speculations hinting that Apple might consider a change in the price range of the aforementioned laptop as soon as it hits the shelves of the public market. The 2016 version of the MacBook Pro will be priced comparatively lower than the $1,499 discounted price of its predecessor, the MacBook 2015 edition.
That being said, the actual price of the laptops will depend on the internal specs variant such as processor, memory capacity (RAM and built-in storage) and processor chosen by the user.
Apple has remained mum regarding the claim, neither confirming nor denying it.
