Rumors and reports for the MacBook Air 2016 never seem to dry up as waiting fans and tech aficionados continue to lookout for its arrival. But until now, tech giant Apple has not released any information about it yet. Fortunately, there are some speculations and predictions about it.
According to a report by Australian Network News, information from Taiwan’s Economic Daily News revealed that Apple is expected to launch the gadget on June 2016 during the company’s World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC). However, other reports claim that it will arrive sometime spring 2016.
There’s a high chance that the speculated date could be right as the Cupertino-based company has always been known to launch its laptops during spring time. Yibada also noted that the rumors are based on the new discount for the current 13-inch MacBook Air. A retailer is reported to have stripped off $450 on the said laptop which was just released last spring. The price cut possibly indicated the coming of its successor. Those who are waiting for it will have to constantly be on the lookout for updates.
Aside from the release date, specs of the upcoming laptop is highly rumored as well. According to Christian Today, the next MacBook Air may be equipped with a retina display feature. It’s also said that there will be enhancements internally with new processors mentioned as likely to appear along. International Business Times noted that the MacBook Air 2016 will get Apple’s own A10X processor.
Moreover, Touch ID and Force Touch technology are also expected. These features are nothing new though as newer Apple devices already sport them. But with the laptop, it may get the ID Touch and Force Touch on the trackpad. Next year’s MacBook Air is also expected to be slimmer and lighter than its predecessors. Apple will still need to release their official statement regarding the MacBook Air 2016.
In the meantime, fans will just have to watch out for more reveals in the coming months.
