How to rotate screen on laptop or PC – PC Advisor
How to rotate your screen: Summary
The easiest way to rotate your screen on a Windows PC or laptop is using the Display settings, but you can also use your graphics card settings or a keyboard shortcut where supported. In this article we show you four methods for rotating your PC screen.
How to rotate your screen: Step-by-step guide
The first way you can try to rotate your laptop or PC screen is with the keyboard shortcut. Whether this work for you or not will depend on the hardware and software on your PC. Some software, for example Nvidia and AMD drivers, allow you to create ‘Hotkeys’ to rotate the screen using a shortcut such as Shift-Alt-Arrow keys.
The other method requires you to delve into the Control Panel to change orientation, which could be a pain if you rotate your monitor from landscape to portrait (and vice-versa) regularly. (However, the lack of a hotkey option could be because you don’t have the software installed. For example, Intel’s Graphics and Media Control Panel needs to be installed in order to use hotkeys to rotate the display.)
The quickest way to rotate the screen in Windows 7 or 8 is to right-click on the desktop and choose Screen resolution. In Windows 10 this is called Display settings.
