CCSO: Culver’s employee stole manager’s laptop – Naples Daily News

An employee of an East Naples Culver’s restaurant was arrested Thursday after Collier County sheriff’s deputies say he stole his manager’s laptop computer.

Michael A. Hernandez, 19, of the 2800 block of Holly Avenue in East Naples, faces a felony grand theft charge and a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest without violence.

The restaurant manager told deputies he was having a manager’s meeting Thursday morning when Hernandez arrived, according to an arrest report. After the meeting, the manager went to get the laptop and found it missing.

He reviewed surveillance footage and saw Hernandez take the laptop, place it under his shirt and leave, reports said. Hernandez later returned looking for the power cord.

When deputies initially located Hernandez he ran away. They later located him again and arrested him. He confessed to stealing the computer, reports said.
