NEW DELHI: Apple is rumoured to be planning the launch of the Macbook Air 2016 laptop on the Black Friday weekend, which falls on November 27 this year.

According to a report by Latino Post, Apple will release its lightweight laptop early to coincide with the beginning of the festive shopping season in the US.

However, a Black Friday launch may take away attention from Apple’s new Macbook model, as most shoppers will be hunting for profitable deals on the shopping weekend.

Apple is said to have delayed the launch of the new versions of Macbook Air and Macbook Pro so that the two laptops do not overshadow the company’s latest gadget, iPad Pro.

It is expected that the Macbook Air 2016 will pack an Intel Skylake U-chipset under the hood and will run El Capitan, the latest version of Apple’s desktop OS.
