HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Three students are accused of breaking into a Hampton school and stealing more than a dozen laptops in early November.
Police say a total of 17 laptops were taken from the Hunter B. Andrews School on 3120 Victoria Boulevard.
An investigation into a robbery complaint revealed that three suspects entered the school on Nov. 11 through an unlocked door, stole several MacBook Air laptops then left the building.
According to a police search warrant, surveillance video from the school showed three males in an unauthorized area of the lower elementary level.
Police say that three juveniles have been arrested and charged with one count each of grand larceny and breaking and entering in connection with the incident. Officers say one of the juveniles admitted to the burglary.
The laptops have yet to be recovered.
