The upcoming line-up from Samsung, dubbed as the Notebook 7 Spin, will be capable of 360-degree rotation which will enable it to act both as a conventional laptop, or a tablet or tent capable of satisfying consumers who are used to binge-watching. The said notebook will be pre-loaded with Windows 10 Continuum feature that will allow it to automatically adapt its display depending on the orientation it will be conveying.
The new Notebook 7 Spin will allow “binge-watching” consumers to enjoy movies as they can watch it using the device’s HDR mode which would allow videos to be watched in sharper, brighter and livelier colors creating an enjoyable viewing experience, Headlines and Global News reported.
The upcoming notebook will come in two variants, the 13.3-inch and the 15.6-inch. Both variants will be featuring 1080p LCD touchscreens. The smaller version weighing 3.9 pounds will be powered by an Intel Core i5 with an 8 GB RAM, while the 15.6-inch variant weighing 5 pounds will come with a core i7 processor and NVIDIA 940MX GPU.
The Samsung Notebook 7 Spin is also equipped with fast-charging capabilities as it is powered by a 45 Wh battery which can charge quickly. A twenty-minute charge can already power the device with two hours-worth of battery life. This fast charging technology will be able to fully charge the larger 7 Spin model in just 90 minutes, while the smaller variant will take around 100 minutes to get itself fully charged.
Aside from these, the laptop also comes with an HDMI port, USB-C port and three USB-A ports. The 15.6-inch version will come in a 12 GB and 16 GB variant where the latter will include a 128 GB SSD which will serve as an extension of the 1 TB HDD, The Verge reported. An auto-backlit keyboard is also part of the notebook’s feature for ease in typing during low light conditions.
The Notebook 7 Spin will be available for purchase starting June 26 with a basic price of almost $800. It is expected to come as rival with other affordable laptop-tablet already available in the market.
