Police appeal after ‘two laptops stolen and chemicals sprayed into victim’s face’ – Mirror.co.uk

Police have issued footage of two men they wish to speak to in connection with a robbery in Barnet.

Officers are investigating after two laptops were taken from a home on Brent Street in Hendon on Wednesday, March 2.

The victim invited two men into her home to look at two laptops that had been advertised for sale on the Internet.

A police statement said: “When a price was agreed, one man sprayed a chemical into the face of the 28-year-old victim.

“As the two men tried to escape, they were confronted by a 26-year-old woman and a nine-year-old boy at the address. Both of them were sprayed with the same chemical and the men ran off.”

The victim recorded the two men on her phone as they looked at her laptops.

Police were called at around 4pm, following the incident.

One suspect is described as an Eastern European man, of stocky build in his 30s, with short hair and blue eyes.

He had an ‘X’ shaped scar on his right cheek and tattoos on his neck and left arm. He was wearing a black leather jacket.

Another suspect is also described as an Eastern European man in his 30s, of stocky build with short hair. He was wearing a black jacket.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the two men or saw them in Brent Street.
