Dell Announces New 2-In-1 Laptops, Unveils First 17-Inch Inspiron 17 7000 – Design & Trend
Dell has announced the new Inspiron 17 7000, the world’s first 17-inch 2-in-1 laptop, during the Computex event in Taipei this week.
Dell is most likely catering to users who consume a lot of video content. A 17-inch screen would also be more than enough to allow people to use the laptop for presentations in meetings.
For consumers who do not require a screen size that big, Dell has also introduced 13-inch and 15-inch models of the new Inspiron 7000 series.
All three laptops are running Windows 10 and will have sixth-generation Intel Core processors. Consumers can configure the model they’re buying to come with an i3, i5 or i7 processor.
Since Microsoft’s Windows 10 is running on all three models, Dell has also placed a special infrared camera that fully supports Windows Hello, which allows users to log in with facial recognition technology.
“With our new Inspiron 2-in-1 lineup, customers can work where they need to and play when they want to,” said Dell’s VP of consumer marketing Ray Wah. “Whatever you can create or imagine, you can achieve it with the 2-in-1 laptop best suited to your needs.”
The new Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 laptops come with a 360-degree hinge allowing people to use the computer in four modes: laptop mode, tent mode, stand mode or tablet mode.
Other features include 1080p full HD screens, backlit keyboards and precision touch pads. The new laptops also come with USB Type-C with DisplayPort support.
The Inspiron 13, 15 and 17 7000 2-in-1 will be available on June 2 on the company’s website and will start at $749, according to Microsoft.
Dell also introduced the new Inspiron 11 3000, a budget-friendly 2-in-1 laptop with an 11-inch display that has a 1366×768 screen resolution.
The Inspiron 11 3000 comes with a Core M3 processor, which is a bit underpowered, as pointed out by The Verge.
This is more of an ideal Windows 10 machine for students or anyone looking for an affordable 2-in-1 laptop.
This model will also be available on June 2 and will start at only $249.
