A man has been charged after lending his computer to a family friend who found nude photographs of his 10-year-old sister on the device, it has been reported.
The incident occurred when the girl’s brother was trying to fix his own hard drive but asked to borrow Joe Garza Jr’s computer, police said.
Garza, 65, was arrested by police for possession of child abuse images and later charged with continuous sexual abuse for allegedly molesting the girl.
But this week he has been hit with a second count of continuous sexual abuse for allegedly abusing the girl’s older sister years ago, it was reported.
Fort Worth, Texas, police officer Domingo Martinez, said of the discovery of the family friend: “When he hooked it up, he saw a folder on there.
“Curious, he looked at it, and that’s when he saw pictures of his sister.”
According to the Fort Worth Star Telegram reports, the boy returned the computer to Garza and told his parents.
The boy’s mother asked Gaza to come over to confront him about the alleged images, Martinez said.
“They talked for two hours,” Martinez said.
“I don’t know if he openly admitted it but he said he has a problem and asked her not to call the police and that he would disappear and not come back.”
The family then called police.
The newspaper said Garza admitted sexually abusing the 10-year-old girl as well as taking photographs and video of her.
An affidavit had said he also admitted molesting the girl’s older sister when she was about 10 or 11.
Garza was held at Tarrant County Jail with bail set at $145,000.
