John Lewis will be matching competitors on price so their electrics section is a good bet for deals.

One of the better offers currently is this Lenovo Z51 Laptop discounted by £150 down to £549.95. It comes with 8GB of RAM combined with Intel’s 4th generation Core i7 processor and full HD display.

Another great deal is on the Lenovo Yoga 500 Convertible Laptop, which has been reduced £100 from £449.95 to £349.95. It comes with Intel Core i3, 4GB RAM, and is the 14″ screen model.

If you’ve been looking for a new laptop there could be no better time to buy than Black Friday. Context, the IT supply chain analyst, said that 77,000 laptops were imported to UK distributors in the final week of October – some 30,000 more than the same period last year and the highest weekly figure on record.

“This is the highest ever spike we’ve seen in notebook shipments and indicates some great deals for savvy shoppers looking for an upgrade or a great Christmas present,” said Context’s Adam Simon.
