See ya in 16, Jared

Years that is. Well, almost 16. Definitely not five. A federal judge in Indianapolis sentenced Subway’s ex-pitchman to 15 years and eight months on child porn charges and traveling across state lines for commercial sex with a minor. After the four-hour, 42-minute hearing (really?), Fogle was handcuffed and taken into custody. You might recall this summer’s drama when the shocking child porn investigation came to light and shattered Fogle’s lucrative image of the former fat guy who lost weigh eating subs. It also exposed the child porn videos produced by the guy who Fogle hired to run his charitable organization. (That loser will be sentenced next month.) So what’s next? Fogle’s locked up and will be for a while: Federal sentencing guidelines say he’s got to serve 85% of his sentence before he’s eligible for release. You do the math.

Former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle has been sentenced to over 15 years in prison on child porn charges. He has to serve at least 85% of his sentence before being eligible for release.
