State Police: 4 vehicles collide during serious wreck on Kennedy – Chicago Tribune
Two people were taken to hospitals after four vehicles collided on the inbound Kennedy Expressway on the Northwest Side Friday morning, authorities said.
The crash occurred around 7:35 a.m. near a southbound ramp from Harlem Avenue, according to an Illinois State Police sergeant.
One person was pinned in a vehicle and was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge in serious condition, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Jeff Lyle.
Another person was taken in fair to serious condition to Resurrection Medical Center, Lyle said.
The three right lanes were closed and traffic was diverted to one left inbound lane and the left shoulder, according to a state trooper. No outbound lanes were closed.
