They were spotted twice, hundreds of miles from Clinton Correctional Facility

Authorities are investigating two possible sightings of convicted killers David Sweat and Richard Matt, who executed a brazen prison break two weeks ago.

Witnesses spotted two men on June 13 walking near a rail yard in Erwin, New York, some 400 miles southwest of the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora where the two escaped from, state police said Friday night. The following day, two men with the same description were spotted walking in nearby Lindley, “heading toward the Pennsylvania Border,” state police said in a statement.
