Passengers Forced to Abandon Ship Because of Fire – ABC News

Passengers on board the Caribbean Fantasy are abandoning ship after a fire started in the engine room, the U.S Coast Guard confirmed to ABC News. The passenger ship is one mile from San Juan Harbor, off the coast of Puerto Rico. The are 512 passengers and crew members on board and there are reports of people in the water, according to the Coast Guard.

The Caribbean Fantasy is a large ferry that takes frequent trips between Santo Domingo and Puerto Rico, according to its website.
