New York Knicks forward Cleanthony Early was robbed and shot in the leg in Queens early Wednesday morning, according to multiple reports.

He was leaving CityScapes gentlemen’s club on 58th Street in Maspeth, Queens, when he was surrounded by up to six men, shot in the knee and robbed of a gold necklace and the gold caps from his teeth, New York Police told WABC-TV.

Early, 24, was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition.

“We are aware of what occurred with Cleanthony Early this morning and are relieved that he is not in a life-threatening situation,” the Knicks said in a statement. “We will not comment any further until we receive more information.”

Early is in his second season with the Knicks after being drafted in the second round out of Wichita State. He has played in 10 games this season, averaging less than a point per game.

Early is a native of Middletown, New York.
