Hillary’s emails: Gefilte fish and ‘Parks and Recreation’ – USA TODAY
The latest batch of emails from Hillary Clinton’s email server were released Monday night. And while some of the 4,368 notes addressed Wikileaks and the 2010 midterm elections, many of them are also just day-to-day missives that reveal Clinton’s like for tea and certain TV shows.
“Are you still up?” emails Cheryl Mills, then chief of staff to Secretary of State Clinton, just after 10 p.m. on a Monday. “Yes–call me,” Clinton responds.
“Now, let’s wrap this up in the Senate and go drink something unhealthy!” Clinton in an email to “BAM,” who we presume to be Sen. Barbara (Ann) Mikulski, D-Md.
Subject line: “Gefilte fish.” Message from Clinton: “Where are we on this?”
Clinton to Philip Crowley, assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs: “Ho, Ho, Ho! Don’t forget the partridge in the pear tree!! Thx for a great year and here’s to an even better 2010.”
Clinton to aide Monica Hanley: “Can you give me times for two TV shows: Parks and Recreation and The Good Wife? ” And earlier: “Could you or he buy skim milk for me to have for my tea? Also, pls remind me to bring more tea cups from home.”
