ROTHSCHILD, Wis. (WSAW) A Captain from the Wausau Police Department said three shooting incidents occurred Wednesday in the Everest Metro Police Department jurisdiction.
The shootings occurred at Marathon Savings Bank, Tlusty, Kennedy and Dirks law firm and the Aspen Street apartments.
A press conference took place at 3 p.m. at Marathon Ginseng in Weston.
Very few details have been released. Initial reports stated two people were critically injured. Captain Todd Baeten did not release any information about the extent of injuries.
He said the first incident was reported around 12:59 p.m. Wednesday in an area near Marathon Savings Bank in Rothschild.

The D.C. Everest School District went into lock down mode for what they reported as a robbery. Although, NewsChannel 7 has been told by police the initial incident was not a robbery.
This email was sent to D.C. Everest school district parents:
“Due to a bank robbery in the area, all D.C. Everest schools are on lockdown as a precautionary measure as directed by the police department. We will update you as soon as more information is available.”
Captain Baeten said officers then responded to a second scene near the law firm, and then a third scene on Aspen Street in Weston.
Crime scene tape is around Marathon Savings Bank and Tlusty, Kennedy and Dirks law firm.
Several officers are currently at the apartment building near the corner of Ross Avenue and Aspen Street in Schofield. Authorities said the suspect is in a second floor apartment and a standoff is underway.
According to dispatch reports an officer was injured, but details about his injuries have not been released. Captain Todd Baeten did not confirm an officer was injured during the 3 p.m. News conference.
Aspirus Wausau Hospital is also on lockdown . A spokesperson said that means that visitors are currently not allowed to enter or leave the building as a precaution to ensure patient and visitor safety.
The Rothschild, Everest Metro, Wausau, and Mosinee Police Department have responded. Along with State Patrol, the Department of Justice, and Marathon, Langlade and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Departments.
