DEVELOPING: Two students and a teacher were wounded in a shooting Wednesday at a South Carolina elementary school.
Anderson County deputies said a teenage suspect was taken into custody after a shooting at Townville Elementary School, according to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
The Associated Press reported that the victims were flown to a hospital.
The coroner also said that a man was dead near the school and the death is possibly related to the incident, according to the Greenville News.
Lt. Sheila Cole with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said deputies had received reports of a shooting just before 2 p.m.
All other students at the school were safe following the shooting and parents are being told to pick up their children at a nearby church, according to law enforcement.

Townville Elementary School — located in Anderson County near the Georgia state line — has 286 students in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade.
